The mid-autumn Moon Festival will be marked by Finnair on October 3, when Moon Cakes will be served as dessert on Finnair flights between Finland and China.
The traditional celebrations take place at the time of the full moon, when children are told ancient stories of a flying goddess who lives in a crystal palace and dances on the surface of the moon.
During the full moon, people in modern day China still get married, dance, dine out and simply admire the moon.
Finnair flies to Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong in China, with over 100 flights to the country every month.
