Finnair’s terminal move at Helsinki-Vantaa has proceeded according to plan. Finnair and other oneworld alliance companies now use terminal T2 instead of the old terminal T1, and this has enabled the opening of new services for
business passengers.
A Priority Lane check-in area was opened on Tuesday, 1 December at Helsinki-Vantaa terminal T2 in the check-in area 219-222. In connection with the new check-in area, a new Priority security check line was opened, allowing faster progress through security check at peak times in the morning and evening.
The Priority fast security check line is open Monday-Friday 6-9 a.m. and 2.30-5.30 p.m. and on Sundays 2.30-5.30 p.m. At other times, the normal security check lines will be in use.
The Priority Lane service area can be used by business class customers flying with an AY flight number and by Finnair Plus Platinum/Gold/Silver and oneworld Emerald/Sapphire/Ruby cardholders irrespective of travel class.
Finnair offers its customers the most comprehensive services facilitating and accelerating business travel in Finland. The service offering already includes automatic text message check-in and a full internet check-in service 36 hours
before departure.
The next advance for business travelers is the opening of the Via Lounge and Via Spa service area at Helsinki-Vantaa on 11 December for transit customers and those flying outside the Schengen area. Via Spa is will be open 10 a.m.-10 p.m. with its four different saunas, versatile shower facilities, pools and treatments that can be reserved in advance.
Priority Lane services were opened at Stockholm Arlanda in the new terminal T5 for Finnair and oneworld companies on Tuesday, 24 November.
